Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays! Mom and I kicked off the holiday season with a little shopping trip to Greenbrier on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.....big mistake with two small children! We shopped for a long time at Garden Ridge only to find that the line to checkout was over 1 hour. We then headed to the Texas Roadhouse for lunch. It was the perfect way to kick off the festive season....get in the middle of all the hustle and bustle!

That same weekend I started my attempt for the perfect Christmas card picture of my girls together. Needless to say that is next to impossible. If you got a Christmas card from us you know that I didn't accomplish that goal, but I used individual pictures this year. This is about the best I could do.

Don't you love our matching nightgowns? Thanks Gan.

Our next Christmas adventure was our annual trip to see the Legendary Santa in Richmond. I was a little nervous about this since Caroline doesn't like Santa very much. The first two pictures show her whimpering in Joan's lap as we waited in line. I must add that we left really early so we could get in the room and see him come down the chimney only to have missed it by 8 people. I got over that pretty quickly. I was a little disappointed that the great old Santa that has been there for 1000 years was not there this day. We had one of Santa's helpers that was a little younger. I got over that quickly as well when Caroline changed her whole attitude towards Santa and actually gave him a hug, sat on his knee and told him what she wanted! I don't know how this happened or why, but I was sure glad that it did! She went from crying about him to liking him while we stood in line :)

Oh....the pictures are terrible because Mom didn't have the flash on! We did a little shopping after seeing Santa and Joan bought Caroline everything she wanted like she always does!

All dressed up for another attempt at a great holiday picture together! Big and MeMe gave us these cute matching dresses. It is impossible to get them to cooperate at the same time :)

This is our first School Production - Night of Carols - held at SA on December 10. The pre-schoolers led the show with a singing performance. Caroline did great even though she had only been going to school for about 1.5 weeks and hadn't practiced as much as the others. The pictures show Daelyn and Clayton too. They all did great! BeBe and Judy saved Me, Wes, Ben and Missy seats on the front row. We were all so proud!

The next weekend we tried to get our cousins together for a little photo session because all BeBe wanted for Christmas was a picture of all 4 grandkids together. They did pretty good, but it is sooooo hard to get these pictures with 4 kids that are 3 and under!

On December 14, Big and MeMe invited us to the Country Club to see Santa and to make GingerBread Houses. It was lots of fun. The two oldest girls loved Santa and the two youngest....well...not so much!

The gingerbread houses were a big hit!

Happy Holidays - Part 2

I have lots more pictures throughout the holiday, but I can't get any more uploaded for some reason. I will try again tomorrow. I even have some video of Caroline and Arianna on Christmas morning if I can figure out how to get that uploaded. Stay tuned.......
