New Cousin

We have a new cousin in our family!!!! Elizabeth and Mike had a baby girl yesterday afternoon (May 20). Her name is Libby Ann and she is precious. They are going to send me a picture as soon as they get home so I will be sure to post it. Congratulations!

Local Circus

On Monday afternoon a pretty big circus was at the Ag Center for 2 shows. Pops, Wes and I took Daelyn and Caroline to see what it was all about. We enjoyed pony rides, cotton candy, and even an elephant ride. I am pretty impressed for this to have been in our area. The girls enjoyed it so much and were on their best behavior. Our Cousins

One day last week Daelyn and Dutchie came over to play for a couple of hours. Daelyn and Caroline love to pretend like Caroline is the baby and Daelyn is the Mommy. It is so cute to see them role play...of course in the second picture we just about destroyed the baby stroller. We tried to get a picture with all four of them, but it is impossible to get them all to look and smile at the same time.

Our Flower Girl

Our Flower Girl did good at the wedding on Saturday. I was way too busy to take pictures so I hope the photographer got a few for us. Caroline was also very excited once we got to the reception and didn't want to sit still long enought to get her picture taken.

Wes danced with her a few times before she went home.

Spoiled Rotten

Recently, Caroline has shown great interest in riding vehicles and she has always loved to stay outside so the answer to that equation is found below. Missy and Ben let us borrow a couple of ride-on toys that Clayton had outgrown and she had a blast on them although she had kind of outgrown them as well. We were going to wait until Christmas, but she would enjoy it so much this summer. I know...I am still trying to justify it in my head. At least we spent part of our Stimulas Tax Check the way the President wanted us to!

Drew was here on Sunday for Mother's Day so he got to ride on the maiden voyage. He was very brave.
Watch out Luke...the driver is not watching where she is going. Drew is holding on for dear life.

Time for a Haircut

On Friday, Caroline, Arianna, and I headed for Virginia Beach to this cool Kid's Salon called Pigtails & Crewcuts at Hilltop. Caroline has huge issues with washing, combing, really anything that has to do with her hair so I knew this was going to be quite an exciting adventure. I picked this place because they have the cool seats to sit in and they have movies at every station for distraction purposes and because I knew we wouldn't know anyone in case she threw a huge fit! She really surprised me and did great. I figured we could go there a couple more times and then she would get used to Lori cutting her hair. The hair issues were really affecting Lori and Caroline's relationship and I didn't want that to happen so that is why I decided to take her elsewhere. Doesn't she look cute sitting in her fire truck!

Bachelorette Party

Our friends, Ricky and Ada, are getting married next weekend and we are so excited for them. I am the Mistress of Ceremonies, Wes is a groomsman, and Caroline is the flower girl. We are honored to be such a big part of their special day! Here is a photo from the bachelorette party this past weekend. I will post pictures of Caroline in her beautiful dress the week after the wedding and give a report on her performance...which I hope is very good!

Playground

We recently found out how much Caroline loves playground equipment after she spent a couple of hours playing at Clayton's house and at the beach. Well, we have a big playground in Courtland so on Tuesday afternoon Gan, GG, Caroline, Arianna, and I headed over there for an afternoon of fun! Now I am not so sure she should know that we have one that close....she can't stop talking about it. I am sure you will be able to find us there quite often in the next few months :)
